USDA Compliance
All meat, poultry, and egg products must be labeled with a USDA mark of inspection and establishment number
Facilities who are producing meat, poultry, or egg products may be required to apply for USDA Grant of Inspection. Contact must be made with your District Manager with jurisdiction in your state and they will supply you with an Information Packet detailing the requirements for achieving the Grant of Inspection and Establishment Number.
To receive the USDA Grant of Inspection, a facility must meet the following conditions:
• Developed written Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required by 9 CFR 416.12.
• Conducted a hazard analysis, developed and validated a HACCP Plan as required by Part 417.2 and 417.4.
Safe Food Resources works with meat and poultry companies to help them develop and maintain policy and procedures to meet the specific regulations set forth by the USDA.

"We have now been working with Safe Food Resources for more than 10 years. A good work relationship deserves a good story. As my company grew, it became clear we needed a GFSI certification. Vicky came highly recommended to us. We met with her and hired SFR for an initial GAP analysis. The initial GAP was effective and identified some key areas where program improvement was needed. After that analysis, we continued to work with Vicky for our program development and preparation for our initial desk and SQF audits. Vicky learns how your company operates and effortlessly blends your operation into specific SQF code requirements. If you listen, and implement the programs and commitment as planned, you will be successful. We have had many high scoring and successful audits, including a SQF Safety and Quality Audit with a perfect score. We continue to work with Safe Food Resources to this day. Vicky is present during our Audits as a coach in our corner, and also consults with us once a month for continuous company improvements and system audits. Working with SFR has been one of the greatest business associations we have had in our nearly 100-year company history."
